Kid's Cafe

The Kid's Cafe is an after school and summer program that provides a safe learning environment for children in the community in order to help them flourish academically, socially, and civically. They are exposed to activities and services that promote overall growth and development so that they may become productive, successful citizens.

This program is for youth that attend Beaver Run Elementary or East Salisbury Schools. The program operates four days a week. East Salisbury and Beaver Run schools operate a schoolwide Title 1 Program, meaning over 40% of the school zone students are low-income families.

The City of Salisbury has an overall poverty rate of 30.7%, and a rate of 39.5% for our youth under 18; both rates are higher than the county, state and national rate.
